TPS2419 N+1 and ORing Power Rail Controller

The Texas Instruments TPS2419 N+1 and ORing power rail controller provides the reverse current protection of an ORing diode with the efficiency of a MOSFET. The TI TPS2419 controller can be used to combine multiple power supplies to a common bus in an N+1 configuration or to combine redundant input power bases. This TI power rail controller is designed for use in a wide variety of applications including servers and telecom. The TI TPS2419 controls buses from 3V to 16.5V and features external enable.

LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers

Texas Instruments LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers with Low Quiescent Current offers intelligent control of a high-side N-channel MOSFET during normal on/off transitions and fault conditions. The constant rise time of the output voltage results from the inrush current control. Both an Input UVLO (with hysteresis) and a programmable input OVP are provided, with an enable input offering a remote on or off control. The initial start-up V_GS fault detection delay time, the transition V_DS fault detection delay time, and the continuous over-current V_DS fault detection delay time is programmed from a single capacitor. The MOSFET is latched off until either the enable input, or the UVLO input is toggled low and then high when a detected fault condition persists longer than the allowed fault delay time.
