Grinn AstraSOM-1680 System-on-Module

Grinn AstraSOM-1680 System-on-Module (SoM) is an end-to-end solution built on the high‑performance Synaptics SL1680 multimedia System-on-Chip (SoC), which integrates a quad‑core Arm® Cortex®‑A73 processor and a neural processing unit (NPU). The Grinn AstraSOM-1680 delivers robust edge‑AI performance for smart‑display Internet of Things (IoT) applications, enabling seamless integration of video, smart‑speaker functionality, and local touch‑display control.

The Synaptics SL1680 SoC is optimized with the SyNAP toolkit, allowing rapid development, tuning, and deployment of secure machine‑learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications across video, vision, and audio workloads. Integrated MIPI CSI‑2 interfaces and ISP processing provide native camera support for on‑device vision inference, reducing the need for additional external components.

Powered by a quad‑core Cortex‑A73 CPU, PowerVR Series9XE GE9920 GPU, and dedicated neural network accelerator, the Grinn AstraSOM‑1680 delivers outstanding compute performance. Equipped with 4GB LPDDR4 memory and 16GB eMMC storage, the SoM supports advanced video input/output pipelines, making the device ideal for applications such as smart cameras, industrial automation, and intelligent IoT devices.
