Analog Devices Inc. MAX7764x Ultra Configurable PMIC
Analog Devices MAX7764x Ultra Configurable PMIC (Power Management IC) is designed to provide power supply solutions for low-power applications where size and efficiency are critical. The MAX7764x features a SIMO (Single-Inductor Multiple-Output) buck-boost regulator that provides three independently programmable power rails from a single inductor to minimize total solution size. A 150mA LDO provides ripple rejection for audio and other noise-sensitive applications. The LDO can also be configured as load switches to manage power consumption by disconnecting external blocks when not required.
The SIMO and LDO output voltages of the MAX7764x are individually programmable through I2C. The MAX7764x also includes two GPIOs with alternate modes for scalability. A bidirectional I2C serial interface allows for configuring and checking the status of the SIMO and LDO. An internal on/off controller provides a controlled startup sequence for the regulators and provides supervisory functionality while they are on. Numerous factory programmable options allow the MAX7764x to be tailored for many applications, enabling faster time to market.
The Analog Devices MAX7764x PMIC is offered in a compact Wafer-Level Package (WLP), with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
