Kingbright APS2012SP1C Ambient Light Photo Sensor

Kingbright APS2012SP1C Ambient Light Photo Sensor is an NPN silicon phototransistor that provides an effective solution for saving power in display backlighting appliances. This photo sensor is adapted to human eye-responsive and is sensitive to the visible spectrum. The APS2012SP1C phototransistor features a water-clear lens with a wide angle of half-sensitivity and comes with a 2mm x 1.25mm SMD LED of 1.1mm thickness. This phototransistor is used to detect ambient light to control display backlighting in mobile phones, notebooks, and video cameras.
