Newhaven Display 7.0" IPS TFT Displays
Newhaven Display 7.0" IPS TFT Displays are 800x480 resolution displays with a backward-compatible footprint, making it easy for existing 7.0" TFT users to switch to a higher-performing display. With IPS technology and a high-brightness backlight, these displays can be viewed at extreme angles with retained picture quality and used in outdoor applications. The 7.0" IPS TFTs also have built-in EMI shielding, allowing the display to be utilized in sensitive applications. This display product line also offers Capacitive/Resistive touch options and modules for developers looking for an affordable premium display.
The 7.0" IPS displays are modules with EVE, HDMI, or BeagleBone cape options. The EVE Modules provide a one-chip solution for managing graphics, touch, and audio with a single Bridgetek graphics controller. These modules are compatible with Arduino boards and can be paired with the Arduino shield (NHD-FT81x-SHIELD) for easy connectivity. The HDMI modules feature the Texas Instruments TFP401A HDMI receiver and Microchip PIC18 microcontroller (two of the most reliable and highly-regarded chipsets on the market) to provide the user with an all-in-one, plug-and-play HMI solution. The BeagleBone cape is designed to simplify prototyping and development. Its design structure facilitates immediate development with Linux and Android platforms and is available with a capacitive touchscreen.
