Omron Electronics D6T MEMS Thermal Sensors

Omron Electronics D6T MEMS Thermal Sensors are super-sensitive infrared temperature sensors that leverage Omron's proprietary MEMS sensing technology. Unlike typical pyroelectric human presence sensors that rely on motion detection, the D6T sensors detect the presence of stationary humans by sensing body heat and can therefore automatically switch off unnecessary lighting, air conditioning, etc. when people are not present. Because the D6T sensors also monitor room temperature, they can continually maintain optimal room temperature levels, instantly sense unusual changes in temperature to detect factory line stoppages, and identify areas of overheating for early fire prevention.
