Renesas / Dialog DA14680/DA14681 SmartBond™ ICs
Renesas / Dialog DA14680/DA14681 SmartBond™ ICs manage multisensor arrays, enable always-on sensing, and save power. An integrated Power Management Unit (PMU) is comprised of system power rails, a battery charger, and a fuel gauge. The PMU supports rechargeable batteries natively and can power a complete wearable system.Create next-generation BLUETOOTH® low energy (BLE) solutions without compromising functionality or battery life. The DA14680/DA14681 are single-chip solutions that provide connectivity for rechargeable devices. These devices include smart home and other emerging Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The DA14680/DA14681 has high performance, low power consumption, and a small footprint to lower system costs.
The ICs are highly integrated solutions that support the Bluetooth 4.2 standard. An ARM® Cortex™ M0 processor delivers flexible processing power. The processor is available with various embedded memory options. The processor enables the management of multisensor arrays and always-on sensing.
The integrated PMU can efficiently power up to three external devices in addition to an on-chip charger and fuel gauge. These additional devices allow the DA14680/DA14681 to recharge batteries over a USB interface. A dedicated hardware crypto engine delivers banking-level security with end-to-end encryption to safeguard personal data.
DA14680/DA14681 is the second member of a device family that includes the popular ultralow-power DA14680/DA14681. In addition to the device's functionalities, DA14680/DA14681 delivers unparalleled flexibility. The DA14680/DA14681 offers an external memory interface to expand code execution space.
