Texas Instruments DRV8434AEVM Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments DRV8434AEVM Evaluation Module is configured to evaluate the operation of the DRV8434A. The DRV8434A devices are an integrated motor-driver solution for bipolar stepper motors. The device integrates two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridges, integrated current sense and regulation circuitry, an analog stall detection function, and a micro-stepping indexer.

The TI DRV8434AEVM Evaluation Module uses an MSP430™ microcontroller and a USB interface chip to manage communication from the GUI software application installed on a computer. The GUI sends serial commands to the MSP430 to control the device signals, monitor faults, and drive a motor.

Features

  • 4.5V to 48V operating voltage range
  • Up to 4A peak current
  • A simple STEP/DIR input interface
  • Integrated current sense and micro-stepping indexer
  • Smart tune technology
