The NXP Semiconductors S32K3 32-bit microcontrollers (MCU) are designed for automotive body electronics, battery management and emerging zone controllers. The scalable 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M7 based S32K3 MCUs are offered in single, dual and Lockstep core configurations with support for up to ASIL D level functional safety.
The S32M2 integrated solution for 12V motor control combines high-voltage analog functionalities, communication interfaces and an MCU in a compact system in package (SiP). Its features make it ideal for streamlined control of BLDC and PMSM motors used for in-vehicle applications such as pumps, fans, sunroofs, seat positioning, seat belt pre-tensioners, trunk openers and more.
The S32K39 MCUs are optimized for EV control applications. The S32K39 devices include networking, security and functional safety capabilities beyond traditional automotive MCUs to address the needs of zonal vehicle E/E architectures and software-defined vehicles. These MCUs enable NXP's battery management system (BMS) and EV power inverters to provide end-to-end solutions for next-generation EVs.
The GD3162 gate driver is designed to drive the latest high-voltage Silicon Carbide (SiC) and insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules for xEV traction inverters. The device enables higher-performance traction inverters to extend the range in electric vehicles, shorten charging times, and lower system-level costs.
